CAFA’s mission is to improve the lives of dogs and cats in Oregon. CAFA educates and works with the public and other nonprofit organizations on pet overpopulation issues such as spay/neuter, implementation of trap/neuter/return (TNR) programs.
We are a group of long-time animal activists who have worked with and volunteered for rescues/shelters in the Salem area and other parts of the country. We are primarily concerned about the cat overpopulation problem in our community and want to work with landlord and property owners to be part of the solution through non-lethal means.
We believe that spay/neuter and trap/neuter/return (TNR) programs are the only realistic solutions to cat overpopulation in our area. That is why we are working to increase funding for these programs.
We work with various organizations and community groups in the Salem area to improve the lives of dogs and cats.
Donating is more than just time or money, it's peace of mind knowing you're helping cats and dogs in our community.
We're growing! We have a strategic plan--our roadmap for our future.
